A man is dead after a car crash in the 1200 block of North Ardenwood Drive around 7 p.m. yesterday.

Baton Rouge Police Department said Donnie Tyler, Central, was driving northbound in the southbound lane and was attempting to make a left turn into an apartment complex when another car hit him.

Authorities said Tyler’s car was pushed into a signal pole, causing severe damage to the vehicle.

Tyler died at the scene. The four people in the other car were taken to a local hospital for injuries from the crash.

The investigation is still ongoing.
