Man dead after three-vehicle crash
St. Gabriel, La. - Louisiana state police say a Terrytown man died Friday in a three-vehicle accident in Ascension Parish around 6 p.m. Friday.
State police say in a news release that a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Blake Dozier collided with a pickup driven by 54-year-old Leonardo Estrella. Estrella was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police say a third vehicle, driven by 25-year-old Joel Leon-Hernandez crossed the center line to avoid the accident, and slammed into the passenger side of Dozier's pickup.
Troopers suspect Dozier was impaired at the time of the crash. Troopers have submitted a toxicology sample from Dozier to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
The crash remains under investigation.
