Man crossing Airline Highway hit and killed by car
BATON ROUGE - Police said a 57-year-old man died on Thanksgiving evening after trying to cross Airline Highway in Baton Rouge on foot.
Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said the man was hit by a car around 6:08 p.m. in the 7100 block of Airline Highway.
McKneely said the man died at the scene. The driver of the car was not under the influence, according to investigators.
Police said the man's name is being withheld until his family is notified.
