A man was convicted of molesting a child in West Feliciana Parish today, even though the girl recanted her story.

34-year-old Michael Paul Jackson of St. Francisville faces up to 20 years in prison. The 14-year-old girl took the stand and told the jury that Jackson did not fondle her.

A videotaped interview of the girl giving her testimony to a school counselor convinced the jury the molestation did happen.
