Man clings to life after train crash

DONALDSONVILLE- A man is clinging to life in Ascension Parish after his truck was struck by a train.
It happened on LA-70 LA-3089 around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Investigators say Jeremy Brassett, 31, was driving a truck when he tried to beat the train across the tracks. That's when he was hit by the train.
Brassett sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash and is being treated at a hospital in New Orleans.
Troopers sent a sample of Brassett's blood to a lab to determine if he was drinking.
