The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's deputies have arrested a 27-year-old New Iberia man on a charge of
impersonating a police officer.
Deputies say they spotted what appeared to be a law enforcement unit parked along La. Highway 347 in Parks.
Deputies say the vehicle was equipped with several decals, operable red and blue lights, an audible siren and a law enforcement push-style bumper.
Cody Patrick Theriot was allegedly wearing tactical-style pants and a red and silver reflective "K-9 Search and Rescue Team" jacket.
Deputies also discovered he was in possession of two official law enforcement badges, a semiautomatic handgun, riot baton, handcuffs, a police scanner and a K-9 tracking harness.
