Baton Rouge- A Greenwell Springs man booked with a fourth DWI over the weekend also was accused in July of driving while intoxicated when his pickup crashed head-on into a car, killing the driver of the car, according to Parish Prison records.

Matthew Harding, 31, was booked with fourth-offense DWI on Sunday by the Zachary Police Department.

According to court documents, Harding had amphetamines and a marijuana metabolite in his system in July when his 2006 GMC crossed the center line of Liberty Road and hit an oncoming 2005 Toyota Corolla.

The driver of the Corolla, Nancy Pierce, 48, of Clinton, was killed instantly.

Harding was not injured.

Harding was booked in August on one count each of vehicular homicide, third-offense DWI, reckless operation, driving left of center, aggravated obstruction of a highway and no seat belt.

Harding's bail on the July 11 fatal crash was set at $100,000.

One of Harding's previous DWI arrests occurred on July 10, 2003, court documents show.

The other one happened on March 2 of that year.
