Man behind bars after high speed chase ending in WBR
A man is behind bars after a high speed chase ending in West Baton Rouge Parish around 5 p.m. today.
Police stopped Shane Thibodeaux for a traffic violation on Highway 78 in Pointe Coupee Parish around 4:30 p.m. That’s when authorities said Thibodeaux got out of his car, got back in then fled, starting the chase that reached speeds of 120 miles per hour. Police said they suspected Thibodeaux had illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia in his car. Those drugs were sent off for testing.
Authorities said Thibodeaux had been arrested multiple times before on drug-related and other charges.
