BATON ROUGE - A judge has signed off on a court order that bars a man from operating a Baton Rouge cemetery without a license.
The order signed last week by state District Judge Todd Hernandez restricts Lymus Washington or anyone working for him from operating Gilbert Memorial Park.
Louisiana Attorney General James "Buddy" Caldwell's office sued Washington over complaints that the cemetery has fallen into shoddy condition and is selling spaces and cemetery merchandise without a license.
Caldwell's office says the cemetery's license lapsed in 2003.
