Man arrested in Prairieville break-ins
PRAIRIEVILLE - A 58-year-old man with a long criminal history has been arrested in a string of burglaries a week ago.
Six break-ins and two attempts were reported on Feb. 21 on Moody Dixon Road, La Rochelle Road, Bill Morgan Road, and Highway 933.
Surveillance video led investigators to Roscoe Alexander Jr., who was arrested two days later.
He was booked with six counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, two counts of attempted simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, eight counts of criminal trespassing, seven counts of simple criminal damage of property, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to a news release, Alexander has been arrested 13 times for charges of burglary, armed robbery, and drug charges. Information about the outcome of those arrests was not included in the news release.
