Man arrested in LSU shower touching case
BATON ROUGE - LSU Police arrested a man they said inappropriately touched someone in the showers at the UREC center.
Capt. Corey Lalonde said investigators arrested Hung M. Dang, 46, of Baton Rouge on suspicion of sexual battery and criminal trespass.
Lalonde said on April 16 LSUPD was told by a male LSU student at the UREC he'd been approached and inappropriately touched by the suspect while in the shower. The victim said he pushed the man away, and the man fled the area.
Investigators said witnesses told them the man had been seen at the UREC before. LSUPD put out a flyer with the person's photo on it, and said they identified Dang from tips they received after it was broadcast on local media as well as a photo lineup.
Lalonde said Dang met with investigators on Thursday, and he told them he'd been at the UREC on the date of the shower incident. Police arrested him and booked him into the parish prison.
