Man arrested in drive-by shooting
DONALDSONVILLE - Sheriff's deputies arrested a man after a drive-by shooting this afternoon in Donaldsonville.
Lt. Col. Bobby Webre with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office said they arrested Toran Munson, 28, in suspicion of attempted murder after the shooting.
Investigators said Munson got into an argument with another man he'd had past run-ins with while Munson was driving along Memorial Drive. They said Munson shot at the man twice and fled, throwing the gun out the window as he drove away. Deputies said when they found Munson they also found a small pipe with marijuana residue in his vehicle.
Deputies charged Munson with drug paraphernalia possession, attempted second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and aggravated damage to property.
