DENHAM SPRINGS - Denham Springs police arrest a suspect in connection to a residential burglary spree that happened over the summer.

Joseph Wills is accused of burglarizing six homes on the "Don Avenue" neighborhood, between South Range Road and Florida Boulevard across from Walmart.

Police say it happened over a 24 hour period.

Five people reported their homes burglarized on May 5 and a sixth person reported one the next day.

Police submitted DNA evidence collected at the crime scenes to the State Police Crime Lab, which determined Wills was a match.

Willis' age was not released by police.

Wills was arrested Feb. 3 and booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on six counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling.
