Man arrested in case of missing L'Oranger woman
AMITE - Authorities in Tangipahoa Parish finally have a man they believe is connected to the disappearance of Dina Fout behind bars.
Sheriff Daniel Edwards says on May 4 deputies arrested Alvin J. Gonzales of Westwego in suspicion of obstruction of justice in the Fout investigation.
Fout was last seen the afternoon of Aug. 4, 2009 in front of her home in L'Oranger. An arrest warrant for Gonzales had been issued in September after investigators said he lied about his involvement with Fout, and that they had reason to believe she was still alive.
Edwards said Gonzales is also being held on a Probation and Parole violation, and remains in jail on a $50,000 bond.
Anyone with information about Dina Fout's disappearance is asked to call the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office at 1-800-554-5245.
