A Gonzales man accused in the burglary of a church, is now behind bars.

Deputies say Mitchell Lynch stole a number of items including multiple cameras, iPads, and cell phones from the St. John Catholic Church.

Deputies also found marijuana, other drug paraphernalia and a handgun from Lynch's vehicle.

Lynch was arrested and book on simple burglary and drug possession charges.

He is being held on $50,000 bond.
