BATON ROUGE - After almost two years of investigation, police arrested a man today for a hit and run collision that killed a pedestrian in 2009.
Police said 42-year-old Arthur Hudson hit John Artinian on Constitution Avenue as Artinian and a friend were walking on the sidewalk on Sept. 26, 2009.
Investigators later received several tips that led them to an SUV they believe Hudson was driving when he hit Artinian.
The case was presented to a grand jury on Jan. 20, which indicted Hudson on the charge of felony hit and run.
Hudson was arrested today and booked into the parish prison.
