Man arrested for several armed robberies
BATON ROUGE - A man accused in several armed robberies in Baton Rouge was arrested.
Daniel Green, 19, is charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of aggravated battery. More charges are pending.
Deputies say they saw a black BB handgun in his car during a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Gardere yesterday. Deputies say it resembled the gun used in two recent armed robberies and that the suspect resembled the man on the surveillance video. Green was cited for several traffic violations and released.
Detectives went to Green's home today, where he confessed to robbing the Cracker Barrel on Burbank twice. He also confessed to two additional robberies of convenience stores being investigated by the Baton Rouge Police Department.
