Man arrested for jumping fence at Governor's Mansion
BATON ROUGE- A man faces charges after an incident involving a car wreck, police chase, and the Governor's mansion early Thursday morning.
State Police said Antonio Moor, 34, was arrested after he jumped the fence of the mansion after midnight. Investigators said he crashed his car on I-110 in the curve near the mansion and ran from the scene.
Authorities said Moor had no idea he had jumped the fence of the compound where Louisiana's highest elected official lives. They believe he was just running from police and looking for anyplace to evade capture.
Moor also faces charges for disturbing the peace by public intoxication.
This is the second time this year the Governor's Mansion has been the location of a bizarre crime. In March, a woman was arrested for trying to ram her car through the front gates.
