Man arrested for fight over pool game
PIERRE PART - A 17-year-old Pierre Part man has been arrested on battery charges.
The Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office says Trey Hebert was arrested after a fight over a pool game early in the morning of January 1 at T-Herm's Lakeview Inn Bar.
A 39-year-old man suffered a fractured eye socket, plus a fractured nose and facial bones.
A detective was able to interview several witnesses to the incident. They gave similar accounts to those given by the victim.
Sheriff Mike Waguespack says the subjects interviewed identified Trey Hebert from a photo line-up as the person responsible for the battery.
Investigators say the victim had bumped into Hebert while he was playing pool and making his final 8-ball shot. A verbal altercation began followed by the victim being struck by Hebert numerous times in the facial area.
This is an ongoing investigation.
