Man arrested for drugs in Ascension Parish
PRARIEVILLE- Detectives in Ascension Parish have arrested a Baton Rouge man for drug possession.
Detectives saw a drug deal taking place in a parking lot of a business in Prarieville on Thursday night. They then followed the vehicle down Highway 621, before stopping it.
Irwin Mitchell was arrested and booked on multiple charges, including drug posssession.
Mitchell's passenger, Austin Roddy of Gonzales, was also arrested and charged with resisting an officer and criminal trespassing.
Both men were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail and are awaiting bond.
