DONALDSONVILLE - Deputies arrested a man accused of forcing his way into his girlfriend's home in Ascension Parish, then attacking her.
Deputies say Romel Julien, of Donaldsonvillecaused another disturbance with his girlfriend at a store in Donaldsonville. A short time later, deputies located Julien at a home where he was arrested.
He is currently incarcerated in the Ascension Parish Jail with no bond.
He previously got into a fight with his girlfriend when she was able to get away and dial 911.
Julien then went to his trunk of his car and pulled out an AK-47, then ran into the woods to hide th gun.
He then returned empty handed, and fled the scene in a green older model Oldsmobile Delta 88.
Deputies found the gun in a neighbors shed nearby.
Julien is a convicted felon who is currently on parole and has a criminal history of physical violence, drugs, and theft.
