Man arrested for causing December train crash in Gonzales
GONZALES - Police say they arrested a Baton Rouge man accused of causing a train collision in Gonzales back in December.
39-year-old Harry White was booked on charges of driving while intoxicated and reckless operation after he was arrested on Monday.
According to Gonzales PD, White was traveling eastbound on Felix Street at around 6:40 a.m. on Dec. 14 when his vehicle was hit by an oncoming train as he attempted to cross the tracks.

White was assessed for injuries at the scene before he was transported to Our Lady Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge to be treated for moderate to serious injuries. Investigators said White tested positive for marijuana. He remained in critical condition until recently, delaying his arrest.
