Man arrested for 3rd offense DWI in deadly crash
LIVINGSTON- Sheriff's deputies arrested a man accused of third offense DWI after a passenger in a car he was driving died as a result of injuries sustained in a crash on December 1st.
Kerry Kendrick, 36, was booked on vehicular homicide, DWI, and reckless operation charges. He posted a $50,000 bond and was released.
A spokesperson for the sheriff's office said Kendrick wrecked the car he was driving on South Satsuma Road. Jessica Clifford, who was in the car, died at an area hospital from her injuries.
"The investigation revealed Kendrick was southbound on South Satsuma Road when he left the roadway at a high rate of speed eventually crashing into an embankment," deputies said in a news release Friday night.
A blood sample was taken from Kendrick and submitted to the State Police Crime Lab. When the results were returned, Kendrick was arrested. His blood alcohol level was not released.
