PONCHATOULA - One man had his 39th run-in with Ponchatoula Police after they arrested him for a vehicle burglary.

According to Ponchatoula Police Chief Bry Layrisson, Eljon Mosely was caught on a surveillance camera stealing two semi-automatic handguns and two knives from a car on December 12.

Investigators then arrested Mosely on January 3 for failing to appear in court. During this arrest, police said Mosely had one of the stolen knives with him.

After a short stay in Amite City Jail, cops in Ponchatoula moved Mosely to Tangipahoa Parish Jail. He faces charges of burglary, theft of a firearm and possession of stolen property.

Since 2004, Mosely has been arrested on charges ranging from drug distribution to resisting an officer.
