Man arrested after toddler tests positive for STD
BATON ROUGE - Police accused a man of sexual battery after they said he transmitted gonorrhea to a 3-year-old girl.
Authorities booked Rodney Granger, 20, into the parish prison on Oct. 25 on two counts of felony sexual battery.
Investigators said the child was taken to a clinic in mid-October, where she tested positive for the disease. The mother told detectives Granger lived with her and watched the children while she was at work.
Investigators brought Granger in for questioning and said he agreed to take an STD test, which he tested positive for gonorrhea.
After further questioning, detectives arrested Granger on sexual battery charges.
