BATON ROUGE - A fight between a man and his girlfriend ended with his arrest Friday, police said.

Baton Rouge Police were called to an apartment complex on Lake Calais Court after a woman said her boyfriend retreated inside their apartment after a fight and locked himself inside with their two children. The woman, who was not identified, said the man was high and had weapons inside the home.

When police arrived, the man, identified as Stephonne Louis, 24, refused to cooperate. A police spokesperson said officers had to enter the apartment and Louis was injured in the process.

The children, ages 2 and 3, were unharmed.

Louis faces resisting an officer and cruelty to a juvenile charges.
