Man arrested after dad helps him get away from police
DENHAM SPRINGS - A man got a few extra hours of freedom thanks to dad's interference.
Denham Springs Marshals, Police and Livingston Parish deputies went to search for Billy Boyd in the Shadow Springs Estates neighborhood, when they say his dad distracted officers long enough which allowed him to get away.
Boyd was arrested later this evening.
They say he owes around $53,000 in back child support, and his dad is now cooperating with investigators and is not facing any charges.
