Man arrested, accused of camp burglaries
HOUMA - Detectives in Terrebonne Parish arrested a man in connection with thefts from a pair of camps along Highway 56 in Chauvin.
Deputies accused Jimmy John Scott, 27, of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, and said he had outstanding arrest warrants for contempt of court.
The sheriff's office said thousand of dollars worth of equipment and weapons were stolen from a pair of camps on Saturday. The stolen goods included flat screen televisions, bow and arrows, rods and reels and guns.
Scott remains in the Terrebonne Parish Jail on a $72,800.00 bond. This case remains under investigation and more arrests may follow.
