Man arrested; 6-year-old claims to be 'girlfriend'
BATON ROUGE - A man was arrested when two underage girls claimed he touched them inappropriately.
Baton Rouge police arrested Reginald Augustus, 23, after an incident in August 2014. Police say the child's mother was having a conversation about Augustus and mentioned how he never had a girlfriend. At that moment, her 6-year-old daughter walked in and claimed she was Augustus' girlfriend.
Police say the mother asked what her daughter meant and if Augustus ever touched her, and the child said yes.
The report claims another adult in the room started to ask other children in the house whether Augustus touched them. Police say that's when a 10-year-old also admitted she was also touched by Augustus. Officials say the 10-year-old did not tell anyone what happened because she did not want Augustus to get in trouble.
Augustus was booked and arrested Sunday on two counts of indecent behavior. His bond is set at $25,000.
