Man accused of shooting brother over $2 debt
VIVIAN - Caddo Parish sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting involving two brothers.
Sheriff Steve Prator says deputies and Vivian police responded to a call at the Monterey Hills Apartments around noon Monday.
Officers found 28-year-old LaMichael Watson suffering from a wound to the abdomen. Det. Andy Scoggins said Watson was allegedly shot by his brother, 24-year-old Cardarrio Watson, after the two fought over a $2 debt.
Police say Cardarrio Watson fled the apartment after the shooting and was arrested a half hour later in a wooded area in Vivian. Cardarrio Watson was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on a charge of aggravated second-degree battery.
LaMichael Watson was taken to a Shreveport hospital for treatment.
It was unclear whether Cardarrio Watson has an attorney.
