Man accused of raping woman he met on Tinder
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies arrested an East Baton Rouge man accused of raping a woman he met through a social dating app.
Deputies charged Jacob Witz, 22, with forcible rape after his arrest Saturday.
Investigators said the victim contacted them and told them she met Witz using the Tinder dating app and invited him over to her apartment. After talking she said they started kissing, at which point Witz got violent and forced her to have sex with him, slapping her multiple times when she refused.
The victim told deputies Witz forced her to shower afterward, and told her to pretend it didn't happen and not to tell anybody.
Deputies said the victim told them Witz was a body builder and massage therapist, and gave him his address. Investigators detained Witz and brought him in for questioning, where he refused to answer questions without a lawyer.
Deputies booked Witz into the parish prison, where he was given a $35,000 bond.
