Man accused of raping 6-year-old girl
BATON ROUGE - Police arrested a Baton Rouge man after they said he raped a six-year-old girl while her mother was not home.
Police booked ODerra Holmes into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail on aggravated rape charges Tuesday.
Investigators said the girl's mother told them she'd left to go to the store, and when she came back she found Holmes sexually abusing her child. Police said the victim told officers Holmes made her go into the bathroom and perform a sex act on him.
Detectives said Holmes denied the charges.
According to court records, Holmes was arrested in 2010 on forcible rape charges, but those were reduced to simple battery and he served a six-month jail sentence.
