Man accused of molesting three juveniles over nine years
NAPOLEONVILLE - Assumption Parish authorities booked a man into the parish jail Friday after a grand jury indicted him for molesting three juveniles over a period of nine years.
The grand jury returned three molestation indictments against Samuel F. Gonzales Jr., who is from Jefferson Parish, on April 8. Gonzales was arrested in Ascension Parish Thursday, and booked into the Assumption Parish jail Friday.
Sheriff Mike Waguespack said in December 2014 a complaint was filed about the abuses. Investigators interviewed the victims and said the abuse took place between 1999 and 2008, involving Gonzales and three different juveniles.
The sheriff's office turned their case over to the district attorney's office, and a true bill was signed this week.
Gonzales remains in jail on a $300,000 bond. Investigators asked anyone with information about this case or other potential victims to contact them at (985) 526-1627.
