Man accused of molesting 11-year-old girl
BATON ROUGE - A 63-year-old man accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl surrendered to an arrest warrant this week.
Sheriff's deputies in St. James Parish contacted deputies in East Baton Rouge Parish after they received a report of a sexual battery that happened at a motel in East Baton Rouge in 2011.
Investigators said Chris Bourgeois, 63, picked the girl up from her family's house in Lutcher three years ago. The victim said Bourgeois took her shopping and brought her back to a motel in East Baton Rouge where he touched her inappropriately.
Bourgeois returned the girl to her parents the next day in Gonzales. Deputies said neither of them told the parents what happened.
Charles Bourgeois turned himself in to deputies in St. James Parish, where he was already wanted on a separate sexual battery charge, on July 21. He was taken to EBR Parish Prison and booked on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile, molestation of a juvenile and sexual battery.
