Man accused of killing family still missing
GONZALES - Authorities are still searching for the man accused of killing his wife and son Thursday morning.
The bodies of 40-year-old Dewona Green and her 12-year-old son were found in their home on Lakeway Cove Ave. Investigators are looking for her estranged husband Ronald Green Jr. in connection with their murders.
Deputies say Green called a woman and told her that he had just killed his wife and son and planned to jump off the Mississippi River Bridge. His car was found abandoned and running on top of the Veterans Memorial Bridge in St. John Parish.
Authorities say Green likely committed suicide, but said they will continue the investigation as if he is alive unless a body is found.
