Man accused of jumping into vehicle, robbing woman at gunpoint
THIBODAUX- Officers from the Thibodaux Police Department arrested a man for attempted armed robbery for his involvement in a incident last month.
On Nov. 26 at approximately 10:49 p.m, authorities said a female suspect was sitting in her vehicle in the 1400 block of Eagle Drive when a black Chevrolet Camaro pulled up behind her vehicle.
Authorities say the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Deangelo Coleman, got out of the passenger side of the Camaro and went to the victim's passenger side of the vehicle. Coleman pointed two guns at the victim and demanded everything she had, according to police.
When the victim told Coleman she didn't have anything, Coleman got into her vehicle and demanded that she take them to her house. While driving, Coleman told the victim that she was driving too slowly and that she was lucky he was going to let her live.
Authorities said that Coleman then exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
An anonymous tip on Dec. 18 said that Coleman was possibly hiding in Taylor's Trailer Court just outside Terrebonne Parish. Authorities were able to locate Coleman and placed him under arrest. His bond for attempted robbery is set at $250,000.
