Man accused of dressing kids in lingerie
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies accused a Baton Rouge man of dressing underage kids staying with him in lingerie, and touching them inappropriately.
Deputies arrested Blaine Doremus, 42, Monday on charges of sexual battery and five counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile. They also arrested his girlfriend, 35-year-old Kathryn Frederick, because they said she knew about the abuses but didn't remove the children from the home.
Investigators said the two children said between 2008 and 2011 Doremus made them try on numerous pieces of lingerie and swimsuits, changing in front of him. The older of the two children said Doremus also inappropriately touched her on one occasion.
Detectives said Doremus admitted he made them dress up, but claimed he only did it once or twice. He claimed he wanted to teach them about different types of clothing. He also admitted that he showed one of the children sex toys and pornography in his room.
Deputies booked Doremus into the parish jail on a $65,000 bond. Frederick faces charges of being an accessory to indecent behavior with a juvenile as well as obstruction of justice, and was booked on a $25,000 bond.
