Man accused of beating, burning child
BATON ROUGE - Police arrested Wesley Moore, 24, over the weekend after they said a child he was caring for was severely burned on their hands.
According to an affidavit obtained by News 2, the child had second-degree burns as well as bruises, a black eye, and a bite mark to his face.
The child told investigators that Moore punched him and stuck his fingers into hot water, causing the burns according to the affidavit.
Family members told News 2 the child was the son of Moore's girlfriend.
Moore is charged with cruelty to a juvenile. He's being held in the East Baton Rouge Parish jail on a $50,000 bond.
