Man accused of attempted murder surrenders
GONZALES - Joshua Stephens, a 19-year-old Prairieville man accused of attempted murder, turned himself in to authorities Tuesday night according to the sheriff's office.
APSO Chief Tony Bacala said Stephens was involved in an altercation with another male subject when he pulled a gun and it fired, shooting a female in the foot.
Stephens was charged with two counts attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments, firearm on premises of alcohol beverage outlet, and disturbing the peace.
He is currently at the Ascension Parish Jail awaiting bond.
