HOUMA - Sheriff's deputies say a Houma man accused of attacking an uncooperative gasoline pump has been booked with criminal property damage.
Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's deputies tell The Courier 27-year-old Sean Charles Oshea told officers he pulled up to the gas station at Sam's Club in Houma Sunday night and became irate because it would not accept his debit card.
He said he grabbed the nozzle and started beating on the pump, damaging it. Deputies say damages were estimated at several thousand dollars.
Oshea was booked with simple criminal damage to property more than $500.
It was unclear whether Oshea has an attorney.
