BATON ROUGE - Police said a man suspected in a string of business burglaries in South Baton Rouge is now in custody.

Baton Rouge Police say Dexter Carroll, 25, was caught Jan. 4 after a short foot chase.

He's accused of burglarizing McAlister's Deli on Perkins Road, Rigsby's Salon on Perkins Road and Heads and Tails Seafood on Silverside.

Investigators linked Carroll to at least eight other business burglaries between Dec. 29 and 31.

Police asked anyone with information on other burglaries in the Staring Lane and Essen Lane area to call the BRPD Burglary Division at (225) 389-3824.
