Makeup tips for fall, winter
BATON ROUGE - Fall and winter carry new trends when it comes to makeup, so News 2 brought in makeup artist Brandie Hopstein to give some tips and suggestions on seasonal styles.
Hopstein does makeup for production companies filming movies in Louisiana, and says there are four trends that are very popular going into this fall and winter.
The first for lips is deep, rich red, which Hopstein says is the color of the season. She says many models are also showing red cheeks on the runways, and on the red carpet.
Another trend is statement eyeliner, with some drastic and crisp lines and styles. Hopstein recommends a liquid or gel liner to create looks that are really sharp.
A third look for this season is bold, smokey eyes, which Hopstein says don't have to be brown or black. She says jewel tones like a sapphire are great for dark-colored eyes, especially in the winter.
Lastly, Hopstein says to keep moisturizing through the winter months. She says cranking up the heater can lead to a lot of dry air, so to keep your skin looking fresh keep a moisturizer regiment, go light on foundation, and heavy on the lips and eyes.
Many of the looks Hopstein went over today can be beautifully executed with the products she uses regularly on her celebrity clients. "Make Up For Ever" is a professional brand available for retail at your local Sephora stores or online.
Make Up For Ever will be giving away a product grab bag to one lucky WBRZ Channel 2 viewer, so they can create all of the beautiful looks you have just seen.
