BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is asking people to be on the lookout for an invasive snail species that is causing problems along waterways in Louisiana.

The species is the Apple Snail. It's the largest freshwater snail on Earth. One warning sign they could be in your area is the unique pink eggs they lay.

Call LWF at (225)765-3977 if you've seen the snail in your area.
