LSU womens hoops dominates Georgia Tech in NCAA 1st round
BATON ROUGE - The LSU women's basketball team finally put all the pieces together, played what Nikki Caldwell said was their best 40 minutes of the season, and beat Georgia Tech 98-78 Sunday afternoon in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
The Tigers were led by 24 points from Danielle Ballard, but the Tigers guard was hardly the only one producing.
Four other players scored in double digits, as the Tigers posted their highest-ever score in an NCAA tournament game.
