LSU women's basketball gets first win of the season
BATON ROUGE - After a disappointing loss Friday at the PMAC, the lady tigers bounced back to get their first win of the season against Sam Houston State 71-45.
LSU was led by Jenna Deemer with 16 points and Raigyne Moncrief with 12. The lady tigers outscored Sam Houston 39-20 in the second half.
Satuday's game was a huge turnaround from the loss to Arkansas-Little Rock Friday afternoon. That game was highlighted by a 12-minute 2nd half drought where the Tigers didn't make a basket other than free throws. LSU was outscored 31-14 in that stretch.
The lady tigers will now look ahead to their next two games. They will play Jackson State monday at 7 p.m. and Tulane on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Both of those games are at the PMAC.
