LSU women picked third in SEC
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The LSU women's basketball team has been picked to finish third in the Southeastern Conference in a poll of SEC coaches.
Tennessee is the top pick, getting 11 of 14 first place votes. They are the defending regular season champs.
Kentucky was picked second and got the other three first-place votes.
LSU's Thresa Plaisance received three votes in preseason player of the year voting. Plaisance was tied with Kentucky's DeNesha Stallworth behind top choice Meighan Simmons of Tennessee.
Plaisance was also a pick for first-team all conference honors.
