LSU women advance to SEC second round with 65-62 win

DULUTH, GA - The LSU women advance to the second round of the SEC basketball tournament with a 65-62 win over Auburn Thursday night. Adrienne Webb led the Lady Tigers with 18 points, Theresa Plaisance chipped in 15 points and 14 rebounds.

LSU held an 18-point lead with 11 minutes left in the second half, but Auburn cut into the lead and even had a chance to send the game to overtime on a half-court heave at the buzzer. LSU scored only one field goal in the final eight-and-a-half minutes of the game but escaped to move on to the second round. 

LSU will take on the #3 seed Georgia Friday night at 8:30pm.
