LSU with their hand full of Furman, lead 20-10 early
The LSU Tiger football teams troubles carried over from last week, as they are struggling early against Homecoming foe Furman.
Tiger quarterback Zach Mettenberger fired a pass right into Furman defender Reggie Thomas who raced 74 yards for the first points of the game. Furman led it 7-0.
LSU would respond with a 55 yard touchdown rush by Jeremy Hill to even the score at 7 apiece.
Furman would once again regain the lead as they put together a 13 play drive moving 46 yards and wrapping up in a 46 yard field goal from Ray Early.
Hill would once again put his team in front, as the Tigers marched 69 yards in less than a minute capped by a four yard touchdown run. Kicker Colby Delahoussaye missed his first kick of the season, and LSU lead it 13-10.
Just at the start of the second quarter, Mettenberger fired a late and underthrown pass downfield toward Odell Beckham, Jr, who adjusted and came back to the throw for a 37 yard touchdown catch.
LSU leads it 20-10 with just over 13 minutes to play.
