LSU wins 16 inning battle with Alabama
The LSU baseball team moved into a first place tie with Vanderbilt for the overall lead in the SEC following an epic 16 inning win against Alabama early Sunday morning. The game matched the longest in the 120 year history of LSU baseball. The Tigers and Tide were tied at 8 until the top of the 16th when LSU got 3 runs to finally pull away for the 11-8 win. Kurt McCune worked the final 2 innings on the mound to get the victory. The Tigers can earn the sweep with a win today.
