LSU wears down ULM 31-0
BATON ROUGE - The LSU Tigers extended their record of consecutive non-conference wins to 48 in a row, beating Lousiana Monroe 31-0 Saturday night.
LSU freshmen scored three touchdowns on the ground, including a 24 yard touchdown run from Leonard Fournette to make the score 24-0 over ULM in the 3rd quarter.
Meanwhile the Tigers pitched their second consecutive shutout, and haven't given up a point since the 3rd quarter of their season opener against Wisconsin.
The Tigers took a 17-0 lead on ULM in the 3rd quarter following a one yard touchdown run from Darrel Williams, who scored for the second time tonight.
LSU jumped out to a 10-0 lead early in the 2nd quarter with a 22 yard touchdown run from Williams.
The LSU Tigers got their first score of the game with 3:20 remaining in the first quarter from a field goal kicked by Colby Delahoussaye. The field goal gave LSU a 3-0 lead over ULM.
LSU started the game with two straight 3 and outs before taking it down the field on a 12 play, 45 yard drive.
The Tigers defense also held ULM's to three straight 3 and outs to start the game.
